Youth Services

The Stittsville District Lions Club provides financial support to many organizations that deliver youth programs in Stittsville.  Team sponsorships have been granted to players enrolled in the Stittsville District Minor Hockey Association and the Goulbourn Ringette Association and members of the Goulbourn Middle School Band.

In addition, the Stittsville District Lions Club sponsors an Effective Speaking, Peace Poster contests and grants an award for academic excellence to qualified students.  These programs are described below:

Effective Speaking Contest
The Effective Speaking Contest is open to students in three categories: Junior (10 to 13), Intermediate (14 to 16) and Senior (17 to 20).  The Grand Prize for the best speaker in each category.

District A-4 Peace Poster Contest
The following terms and conditions apply to all entrants:

Scholarship/Bursary Application Form
The Stittsville District Lions Club supports academic achievement by awarding a grant of $500.00.  Students must complete the application form found under the Application button on this page.
