Background
- Each year, members of the Stittsville District Lions Club select the
community services to be supported. Fund raising Chairmen are appointed and
committee budgets prepared. Every Lion supports the project, ensuring a
successful outcome.
Community Services
The Stittsville Lions Club supports existing community programs or offers
complementary programs.
Youth Programs
The Stittsville Lions Club provides funding for youth sports, cultural
programs and scholastic achievement. Lions International programs such as Effective Speaking and Peace
Poster contests are also promoted.
Recycle for Sight
An ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to the needy in targetted
countries of the World.
Environmental Programs
Stittsville Lions support Lions International Environmental Service
Projects.
