Autism Awareness & Advocacy

At the Stittsville District Lions Club, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting our friends and neighbors in every way we can. That's why we are dedicated to providing assistance and resources to families affected by autism in our community.

We support the Quick Start Autism program in their mission to assist children in reaching their full potential by helping the children obtain early intervention at the first signs of autism. Quick Start raises awareness and initiates programs to cut wait-times, build capacity, and promote improvements through early identification and intervention.

We understand that caring for a child or family member with autism can be a challenging journey, and we are here to offer our support and help ease the burden. Through our partnerships with local organizations and programs, we offer financial assistance to help families access critical services and therapy for their loved ones with autism.

In addition to our financial support, we also offer educational and awareness programs to increase understanding and reduce the stigma surrounding autism. We believe that creating a more inclusive and supportive community for those affected by autism is a collective effort, and we are committed to doing our part.
