Walk for Dog Guides
At the Stittsville District Lions Club, we are proud to support the Walk for Dog Guides, a national fundraising event that raises funds to train and place guide dogs with Canadians who have a medical or physical disability.
As Lions, we believe in the importance of supporting those in need, and the Walk for Dog Guides is one of the many initiatives we participate in to make a difference in our community.
Through our support of the Walk for Dog Guides, we provide financial donations and volunteer our time to help make the event a success. Our volunteers help with event set-up, registration, and managing the walk route to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
Our financial donations help to cover the cost of training and placing guide dogs with Canadians in need. We also support ongoing research and development of guide dog training techniques to ensure that these amazing animals can continue to help those in need.
By supporting the Walk for Dog Guides, we are helping to improve the lives of Canadians with disabilities and promoting greater independence, mobility, and freedom. We are proud to be a part of this important initiative and to work alongside other community members to make a difference in the lives of others.
